An update about school and Covid-19

Dear all,

I am taking this opportunity to provide you with an update about school and the current status around COVID-19.

Student attendance for face-to-face lessons is now sitting at approximately 95% and we are running a school as normal program whilst catering for students who are choosing to learn from home through alternative modes of delivery.

We are still encouraging staff and students to stay home if they are unwell and continue to practise good hand and sneeze/cough hygiene.

However, if anyone at home is presenting with symptoms that are remotely linked to the symptoms as described with the Corona Virus they should immediately see a doctor or be tested for the virus at one of the many clinics in Adelaide or some outer metropolitan areas. I believe there is a testing clinic in Mount Barker. See link below.…/commu…/testing+for+covid-19.

In the event where a person tests positive, SA Health / Public health authorities manage the situation, including all communication to schools / those affected and take total control of the situation. This also applies to any other contagious diseases. The Department for Education and Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School are mandated to follow the directions of SA Health Authorities in all cases.

For more information, check out the SA Health Website below.…/Public…/SA+Health+Internet/

It’s fantastic to see how well SA Health, SA Government and Department for Education have managed the situation in SA. I congratulate you as none of it would be possible without all of us complying.

Take care,
Ian Kent

Thank you to those Year 7 families who have submitted their nomination for Year 8.

7-12 Campus families - timetable

Dear 7-12 Families,
With almost 85% of our student population back onsite engaged in their learning programs, the 7-12 Campus will resume normal timetabled lessons on Monday morning (11th May). Home Group will again commence on Monday. If you are still wishing to keep your child at home to undertake their learning program, the staff will continue to ensure that learning programs are available on digital learning platforms, as they have been over the past few weeks.
If you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
